Written by Tom Hruby and James Pomerantz, The Rogue Breacher: Violence Doesn’t Disappear, It Gets Reassigned, is the second installment in a planned three-book series, following The Breacher’s Playbook.
“The search for two abducted children becomes the catalyst for a deeper pursuit of accountability in our new novel, The Rogue Breacher,” said Pomerantz and Hruby. “Deklan Novak, a former Navy Seal, returns in his role as a special agent for the FBI’s Violent Crimes Against Children squad. He finds that what happened to Layla and Luca Stanley changes everything—and the pursuit of those responsible carries a weight he cannot ignore.”
Deklan’s investigation uncovers ties to Chicago Outfit (Mafia) affiliates operating beneath the city’s historic freight tunnel system. He is recruited by a former mentor into a privately funded force composed of elite Special Operations veterans and intelligence specialists, entering a world where justice is delivered quietly, swiftly, and without hesitation.

Pat Fitzgerald…Former Head Football Coach at Northwestern (2006-2022) and current Head Football Coach at Michigan State University (2026-) –
Tom Hruby and David Goggins spoke to my former football team at Northwestern in 2012 as active-duty Navy SEALs from Naval Station Great Lakes (NSGL). Tom then played football for me at Northwestern in his 30’s as an active-duty Navy SEAL. Tom Hruby is an American hero. I have known James for over twenty years. Tom and James nailed the first book. Can’t wait to read The Rogue Breacher.
Jeff Gum…SEAL Team Five Breacher (2007-2017) –
Tom and James hit a home run with the Breacher’s Playbook. Tom’s years with SEAL Team One (2008-2016) as a breacher in Afghanistan and Iraq provide true authenticity to the main character Deklan Novak. Can’t wait to read The Rogue Breacher!
Robert J. O’Neill…SEAL Team Two (1996-2001), SEAL Team Four (2001-2004), SEAL Team Six (2004-2012), Operation Red Wings, Operation Neptune Spear and New York Times bestselling author of The Operator…Firing the shots that killed Osama Bin Laden –
James Pomerantz and Tom Hruby are an exciting new writing team. The Breacher’s Playbook was their thrilling debut novel. I can’t wait to read The Rogue Breacher, the second Deklan Novak novel.
