Anthony Hicks
Anthony (Tony) began his military career as an enlisted Combat Engineer in an Army Reserve unit before transitioning to naval aviation, where he served as a U.S. Navy fighter pilot flying high-performance aircraft in demanding, time-critical conditions.
Following military service, he built a broad civilian aviation career that includes flight instruction, airline operations, and corporate aviation. His work has included contract flying, mentor pilot roles, and instructional positions, with an emphasis on single-pilot operations, weather decision-making, and performance under stress. He is also a course and content creator focused on pilot mindset, risk management, and operational readiness.
He holds a Master of Science degree in Geological Sciences with a concentration in meteorology and has taught geological and meteorological sciences at the collegiate level. This academic background supports his aviation instruction, storm chasing operations, and weather-focused education.
He is the owner of Deep Blue Adventure & Aviation LLC, a veteran-owned business providing contract pilot services, aviation training, storm chasing tours, and SCUBA travel experiences, with specific offerings tailored to veterans and active service members.
Outside of aviation, he maintains a certified personal trainer credential and remains active through resistance training, mountain biking, and outdoor pursuits.
In his book, Amazon Flow, Anthony Hicks explores focus, decision-making, and performance under pressure through the lens of aviation, weather, and real-world experience. Drawing from military service, civilian flying, and academic study, the book blends storytelling with practical frameworks for operating effectively in high-stress environments.

Mary Fedele, Adjunct Instructor, Healthcare Operations Professional –
As someone who has spent decades leading and managing teams—often as a woman in male-dominated environments—I connected with the balance of structure and humanity described throughout the book. Success isn’t just about systems and strategy; it’s about understanding people, and Boss Ma’am captures that well.
Melinda Stackle, Military Spouse, Advocate, Educator –
If you are looking for a sugar-coated guide to success, this book isn’t for you. But if you want to experience a book that uncovers the inner strength found within each of us, and demonstrates how our world needs each of us to lead with character, grit, and grace, then I promise you will love every minute of Boss Ma’am!

There’s a level of honesty in this book that most people avoid. The kind that makes you pause, not because it’s dramatic, but because it’s accurate.
If you’re a woman navigating leadership, identity, or the space between who you were and who you’re becoming, this book will resonate. It stays with you longer than you expect.
