Ivan Stahn served four years in the U.S. Army as a signal intelligence analyst (MOS 98C) and counts those four years as among the most formative of his life. After the Army, he earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Philosophy from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and a Master’s Degree in Technical Communication from North Carolina State University. His early professional career included a stint as a paralegal at the Office of the Kings County District Attorney in Brooklyn, New York, followed by a decade in marketing and advertising in New York City. He married in 2005 and now lives in North Carolina with his wife and two daughters. He is currently working on his second novel and a Ph.D. in Applied Psychology at N.C. State. He has never been in prison.
